Owner of CrossFit Huntley: Jim Moffett
Jim has been very active in the Huntley community for over 10 years. He has been coaching basketball and soccer for over 15 years, and currently serves as President for the Huntley Youth Sports Organization which has donated over $125,000 to youth sports in the area.
Jim and his wife Cheryl own Moffett Physical Therapy. They have Outpatient Orthopedic Clinics located in Huntley, Hampshire and Lake in the Hills. Moffett PT has helped thousands of patients return to pre-injury form. There was; however, a gap in what Moffett PT offered to the community. What about the relatively healthy people who want to get stronger, or healthier? That is where CrossFit Huntley comes in. Jim saw in CrossFit a way to work “The Core” through dynamic movements, get stronger, and change his own body composition. He had been a member of a local “Globo-gym” for over a decade, but never saw the results he has seen in a few short months with CrossFit. “I know it’s kind of cliché… but I am in better shape at 40, than I was at 30! Bobby is a great teacher, and as a “retired weekend warrior” I look forward to competing through every workout. Every day the workout is different, and can be scaled up or down to your fitness level! There is something special about picking yourself up off the floor after a tough WOD and knowing the person next to you feels the same way.” If you have never heard of CrossFit go to YouTube… it is pretty amazing stuff you will be able to do in a few months from the first day you walk in the gym!
Jim received his Level 1 Certification at CrossFit Atlas in Chicago, IL. and his USAW Certification in Crown Point, IN.
